Perfect Winter Wedding Bliss - photo by Night and Day Photography
Okay, we all know I love winter… but seriously, what could be more perfect that photos in the perfect undisturbed snow for your winter wedding. Granted, I do recommend having an indoor location for photos as well, but by embracing the winter – you can get something so awesome. This bride was actually warmer than her groom. She had the big hooded cape, mittens with hand warmers in them, and big boots on under her dress. Talk about prepared!
This photo was taken at the Hotel MacDonald – a great place for both indoor photos and outdoor photos. The private garden allows for river valley views, and crowd control is usually not too much of a problem. It’s also easy to run in and out to warm up!

Stephanie and David didn’t want their guests to wait around between the ceremony and reception while they had photos taken – they wanted to get the party started! We saved the best for last, and did most of their portraits the day after their wedding. It was great because David already had the tux, and they were relaxed after the wedding day.

In an Antique Car - By Picture That Photography
One of our favorite photographs from Melinda and Jason’s wedding is this one, the two of them in an antique car. This vintage look really worked with the ruffly dress Melinda chose! The vintage look in photographs is beautiful and timeless.

Christine & Andrew first laid eyes on each other when invited out by friends to go blowing! It was so much fun to hit a bowling alley for some of their wedding photos. We love incorporating parts of a couple’s history into their wedding photos. It makes the photos that much more meaningful and special!

Weddings are usually only the beginning of a relationship between you and your photographer! There are many reasons to get professional photographs taken, from maternity, babies, kids, graduation, anniversaries, or even buying your first goat, or entering your first sumo wrestling competition etc… so don’t throw away that business card yet just because the wedding has passed! A pre-ceremony picture - by Picture That Photography
Usually brides and grooms take all of their photographs after the ceremony. Jocelyn and Joshua opted to take their photos before the ceremony instead. After their ceremony and receiving line, they were able to visit with guests and go straight into the reception and party time! Jocelyn and Joshua did not regret their choice and loved “getting the party started” right after the ceremony!
